i have freelanced in the production industry for about two years now - here are some snippets of what i’ve done:
i have been a production assistant on various sets with different production houses:
the highlights include having to mic up two ministers and a concerning number of overnight shoots, but i’ve learnt a lot since my first freelance PA job! i’ve also done two production internships and moved up to assistant producing, helping out with casting, locations and scripting.
i’ve also ventured into the world of art - assisting and directing on student shoots and a netflix show!
i was lucky enough to be on the set of Little Women (2022), a Netflix K-drama that shot in Singapore, as part of the set decoration team. it remains the biggest shoot i have been on so far, and i am highly grateful for the experience.
and here are some shots vs behind the scenes from the student shoots i did art on!
from ah gong’s love (2022) -
i never learnt how to do food styling, so this was a challenge for me! but Chinese New Year reunion dinner is pretty universal, and with help from my co-art director, i think we pulled it off well!
my first art director gig, a senior’s final year project. the set in real life, vs how it looked like on the monitor!
i’m grateful for all the sets i’ve been on and all the experiences i’ve gathered, but i’m also aware that i have a long ways more to go! if you have an opportunity or want to work together, please do contact me and i’ll get back to you ASAP! thanks for stopping by, and hopefully i’ll see you soon :)
